We are always in tune with some of the haps that go on in our beautiful city. Here is this week’s issue of Live Miami Magazine sent to us by Abebe Lewis. Enjoy!

It has been confirmed that Facebook co-founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, has purchased popular photography app, Instagram, for $1 billion in cash and shares.

The Instagram acquisition is one of the largest in Facebook history, and according to Zuckerberg, the company does not plan on doing many more of these transactions, if any. Zuckerberg, who

this morning, does not plan on making any changes to Instagram as of yet.

“We believe these are different experiences that complement each other. But in order to do this well, we need to be mindful about keeping and building on Instagram’s strengths and features rather than just trying to integrate everything into Facebook,” wrote Zuckerberg.

“That’s why we’re committed to building and growing Instagram independently. Millions of people around the world love the Instagram app and the brand associated with it, and our goal is to help spread this app and brand to even more people,” he added.

Zuckerberg also stated that the 30 million Instagram users on Android and iOS would still be able to post their photos on other social networks besides Facebook.

There are currently a plethora of Hip-Hop artists on Instagram, including Rick Ross , Tyler the Creator, Cam’Ron, Big K.R.I.T., Fabolous, Snoop Dogg, and many others.

According to Facebook’s press release, the transaction will be completed later this quarter.

Lil Wayne Skateboards Outside Miami Beach Community Church, Threatens Photographer

Weezy

Lil Wayne loves skateboarding. But when a photographer’s flashbulb ruins his ollie, that’s just fucked up.

Last week, according to a TMZ video, Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. was skateboarding ’round Miami Beach Community Church — a United Church of Christ congregation at 1620 Drexel Avenue with a strict “No Skateboarding” policy — when a photographer shot a pic of Wayne breaking the law.

“You’re nobody, man,” the photog yells after Wayne’s entourage allegedly surrounds him.

“Then why you taking pictures of nobody?” Weezy responds. “Come back and talk to nobody. Watch what nobody do to your fucking face.”

Following the altercation, the photographer filed an incident report with the Miami Beach Police Department, alleging that one of Lil Wayne’s crew members spat on him while another smashed his bicycle with a skateboard.

Wayne’s camp has yet to comment on the allegations, and the rapper has gone about business as usual. In fact, rather than worrying about potential criminal charges, Weezy spent Easter Sunday watching the Masters Golf Tournament.
